The hemming function of press brake has the following four points:
(1) Increased rigidity: The “L” force structure formed by folding edges to strengthen the rigidity of the aluminum plate. For example, a piece of A4 paper will bend in the hand, but it will not bend as long as it is folded in half.
(2) Beautiful: Most people feel that the aluminum plate without hemming is exposed to the outside, and there is no aesthetic feeling. After the hemming, the edge height of the aluminum plate becomes higher, and the grade is higher.
(3) Installation considerations: When the aluminum plate is installed on the wall keel or ceiling boom, there must be a connection point, and the connection piece of the connection point must not be exposed on the surface. At this time, the folding edge is often the best choice.
(4)Splicing: Whether the connection between two pieces of aluminum veneer is seam connection or close splicing connection, it is often not directly connected on a plane, but connected by a folded edge.
The flanges are connected to the standard, and the panels are spliced naturally and smoothly.
For seam splicing, whether it is natural seam or glue seam, it is recommended to fold the edge at 90 degrees, which is convenient for glueing and beautiful.
For dense splicing, the angle between a certain hemming and the inner surface of the board is less than 90 degrees, and it can be controlled at about 88 degrees. If it is greater than 90 degrees, a gap will occur when the board is spliced.
Reasons for bending and cracking of aluminum plate
The hardness of aluminum plate
The aluminum plate is too hard and easily cracked. This requires the selection of good quality aluminum plates, mainly depending on the alloy and state of the aluminum plates. The hardness of the 6 series and 7 series is higher than that of the 1, 3, and 5 series. It needs to be annealed to the O state before bending. There is also the quality of the aluminum plate.
The thickness of the aluminum plate
Too thick aluminum plate is not easy to bend, we understand it when we think about it, and try to use thinner aluminum plate.
The distance of bending R angle
The greater the bending R angle, the higher the success rate, so try to increase the bending R angle as much as possible.
Aluminum plate texture direction
The bending direction should be perpendicular to the grain direction of the aluminum plate, not parallel.
For aluminum plate parts that require drawing, it is best to be bent and then stretched when the process permits, otherwise the probability of bending and cracking will increase.
