The CNC bending machine is a sheet metal cold forming machine. It can use the equipped general mold (or special mold) to bend the metal sheet into various geometric cross-sectional shapes. The CNC sheet metal bending machine uses the CNC system to automatically adjust the slider stroke and backgauge position. Control to realize the bending forming of different bending angles and bending edge widths of the bending workpiece.
CNC bending machine is developing in the direction of large-scale, precise, complex, and economical. Nowadays, the bending machine has entered the era of individualization. Based on the bending mold of the product, it must be based on the same needs of users. To match the market, we must maximize work efficiency and reduce costs for users.
Bending processing can be divided into three categories
Partial bending
It is a method of bending at right angles and obtuse angles by using an upper die below 88° and a lower die with V=12t (V means groove width and t means material thickness)
Adhesive bending
It is the method of bending square bending with 90° on right and obtuse angles. Choose V=6~12t for the lower die for close bending
Imprint bending
Use 90° upper mold for right-angle bending (a standard right-angle bending), and use V=5~6t for the lower mold for imprint bending.

Correction of bending
Correction bending is the punching of the rounded corners and straight edges of the workpiece. During the downward movement of the punch, the angle of the blank will be smaller than the angle of the die to bend the die, resulting in negative springback. At the end of the stroke, the punch and die will correct the blank so that its fillet, straight edge, and bending radius are all consistent with convex Mold close. It can be seen that the corrective bending can effectively overcome the rebound effect, thereby obtaining high bending accuracy.
Free bending
Free bending method is the most commonly used method. Free bending is to use the two edges of the die opening and the edge of the top of the punch to enter the bending die to bend, and the depth of the punch into the die determines the bending angle.
The bending force required for free bending is smaller, and the mold is less stressed, which can extend the service life of the mold. The disadvantage is that the thickness of the sheet and the inconsistency of the mechanical properties and the rolling direction of the steel plate will cause the change of the bending angle. When the thickness of the sheet is not large, the free bending angle error is ±(1—1.5 degrees), and the bending radius ≥ t (plate thickness)Advantages of CNC sheet metal bending process
Advantages of CNC sheet metal bending process
(1) Reduce labor intensity.
(2) High productivity.
(3) It can improve the accuracy of bending parts. This is because various measures to improve bending accuracy have been considered when developing the CNC bending machine.
(4) Simple adjustment. The operator only needs to compile the program to automatically realize all the adjustments of the machine.
(5) Save the middle stacking area.
